Why Liyu Lake
Liyu (鯉魚潭) is a small mountain lake ~25 minutes south of Hualien City, ringed by forested ridges and no power-boat traffic. The water is flat almost every day, which makes it the most forgiving SUP spot on the east coast — and the only one we run year-round.
Season
Open all 12 months. Early mornings and sunsets are the nicest light; summer afternoons can get hot but the water stays calm.
